Suicides In Greece Rise Since Before Crisis Began

cutting over-inflated pensions and over-inflated salary bonuses is not "austerity". the country has done nothing to rein in its uncontrollable public sector and very little to improve tax collection,a leaking tank that loses billions of euros a year. so many small "enterprises" are still not issuing legal receipts yet raking in thousands of € a day. yet, there are no inspectors going around to ensure they are. similarly with the athens metro system and public buses - you can just hop on and off without a ticket and only extremely rarely will you encounter a ticket inspector (and even then you might escape having to pay a fine).
